The Route 66 Tee’s Story

Considered to be the most famous road in America, Route 66 is a 2,448 miles long road stretching from Chicago to Santa Monica. Winding through 8 states - Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, & California - this historic path served thousands migrating west, most notably during the Dust Bowl of the 1930s.

The Mother Road

Throughout the years, Route 66 has been by several names - Mother Road, Main Street of America, & Will Rogers Highway. This historic highway was critical in supporting the economies of the communities through which the road passed. Those doing business along the route became prosperous & fought hard to prevent being bypassed by the "new & improved" Interstate Highway System. Unfortunately, Route 66 was decommissioned in the late 1950s, subsequently being removed from United States Highway System in 1985. Because Route 66 no longer appears on most maps, there has been a significant decline in the communities that relied on the highway for business.

Although it is no longer possible to drive continuously from Chicago to Santa Monica on Route 66, several Route 66 Revival Associations have emerged, working to preserve & restore the historic features along the route. These efforts have helped to reinvigorate interest in traveling along this old highway & are helping thousands to enjoy the vintage views of "days gone by".

It begins with printing on the best machines. Our state-of-the-art direct to garment digital printing and high volume screen printing systems, ensure that each shirt printed is on mark. With the ability to produce both high volume quantities or single, one-off custom shirts, we know that each and every shirt needs to be perfect.

We love t-shirts, but have come to understand that not all t-shirts love us. Poor quality construction in seems and low quality cotton can leave you with a tee that's better suited as an oil rag. We don't just want our t-shirts to look awesome, but feel awesome when worn.

While there's no shortage of t-shirt shops around, we've committed to going our own way. It's that type of thinking that led us off-roading and in search of new iconic routes in the first place (much to our wive's delight). Read more...
